Letters to the Editor

Below are email addresses for all the major newspapers in Illinois, for use in sending letters to the editor.

A few tips for writing:
  1. Keep your letter under 250 words. It will have more chance of being published.

  2. Be positive--not negative--in your comments, on the whole. Better to extol the virtues of Dr. Keyes than denigrate his opponent. On the other hand, don't hesitate to set the record straight.

  3. Be original. Your own thoughts are just as important as anyone else's. A fresh viewpoint is more likely to get published than an imitative one.

  4. Be sure to edit your letter carefully before submitting.

  5. Finally, be respectful of the publication you're dealing with--as well as your audience.
