Dear Committed Volunteer,
The campaign has swung into full gear this week, and the momentum is only increasing. In both the fundraising and volunteer arenas, we are beating every expectation anyone had for us, let alone our own goals, and it’s all because of you.
From the newspaper that brought Illinois the famous and erroneous "Dewey defeats Truman" headline, the Chicago Tribune published on Sunday more fiction in the form of a poll on the Illinois U.S. Senate race.
As Dr. Keyes discussed Sunday morning on Fox News' "Fox and Friends," he gives no weight to such polls, which are often easily manipulated, particularly when -- as with the Tribune -- the methodology of the poll was not provided.
The reality is that, even with as much exposure as Alan has generated during our nascent two-week-old campaign, most Illinoisans have yet to truly understand the extent to which Barack Obama is an extreme, left-wing iconoclast. It's the job of the Keyes campaign to get the word out about the substance of Obama's extreme liberal voting record on issues from taxes to education to health care to the defining moral issues of our time.
Over the next 70 days (yes, only 70 days left!), we need the help of Keyes Minutemen around Illinois committed to educating their family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues about the clear choice they have in this race and the importance of that choice for our state and our nation.
Don't believe the phony polls and the left-wing media demagogues. In under two weeks, more than 6,000 Illinoisans have volunteered for the Keyes campaign because Illinoisans know that we need his common-sense solutions and principled leadership to make the Land of Lincoln great again.
It is important to know that all your hard work to sign up your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers to volunteer and vote for Alan not only matters to the public perception of this Senate race, but also matters personally to Alan and our team. Our office has literally been flooded with letters, phone calls, and emails from Illinois residents wishing to volunteer time, money, and energy to our campaign. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication!

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP NOW:
WE NEED HELP AT HEADQUARTERS!! This week we will have signs, data entry, and a host of other activities that need to get done as soon as possible. We will also make a promise to order lunch or dinner at the office every time we get ten or more volunteers. It’s always a great chance to network and make new friends. SIGN COORDINATORS - We need to have at least one person in every county willing to help deliver signs to everyone who has requested them over the last few weeks. If you’re interested in being a coordinator or just a distribution site, e-mail Jeremy@Keyes2004.com.
RECRUIT THE TROOPS - Have your friends and family pledge to support Alan on November 2nd. Attached to this e-mail is a form for you to take to your friends and family and have them commit to support Alan for U.S. Senate. Don't limit yourself to just your friends and family, take the fight to the streets. Go door to door and ask everyone you come in contact with. Print out as many forms you can get filled out, and mail them back to us. Our mailing address is P.O. Box 2004, Springfield, IL 62705.
